Amy I. Heater, Principal
When I began my teaching career back in 2002,  I fully intended to end my career as a teacher.
I was super fortunate to have great administrators to work for.
I realized by watching them, that I could touch so many more lives going beyond the classroom.
My mission was and is to ensure that I put students first, listen, be a doer, and
continue to support lifelong learning at its best.
Rebecca Champion, Assistant Principal
I received my B.S. in Middle School Education from Shorter College,
my Masters in Middle School Education from the University of West Georgia,
and my Ed. S in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.

I began my teaching career in 1996. I taught 4th/5th grade Math for nine years and worked

part-time as a Reading/Math Interventionist for two years. I joined the

White Elementary School family in 2014 as the Title 1 Teacher for grades 3-5.

Two years later, in 2016, I became the Assistant Principal.

I believe that it takes a whole village to raise a child and I am thankful to be a small

part of that village for the students at WES.

I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for twenty years. We have three children -

Gregory(15), Bethany(14), and Naythan(8). We live on our farm with our cows,

pigs, chickens, coon dogs, a pheasant, a goose, a guinea,

our cat - Buttercup, and our dog - Fred.
